You can be a necro summoner archer undead dwarf if your heart desires. Oh boy where do I start? You can basically do anything you want in this game. You will have to take note of inventory, party abilities and placement of heros to overcome your enemies. Given it's turn-based combat, it leaves the twitch and reaction gaming for other titles. It is more about strategy than anything else.
This game is NOT mechanically demanding by any means. This holds true because with each playthrough you ideally will have a different party setup that will have other abilities and playstyles. For each playthrough the fights can go any number of different ways. The fighting is one of the games strongest features. Another part they quickly introduce you to is the fighting mechanics. If you don't like talking to people then I wouldn't recommend this game.
Like for starters they make you talk to people which is huge in this game. This boat serves as a tutorial and will introduce you to many of the games mechanics. If you do not take any available action to complete the quest, you will find Elodi's dead body where you last saw her - this way, the quest is no longer available to complete.The game starts out on a boat. You are still able to recruit Ifan ben-Mezd. Then, you can find her in the Caverns, but you will not be able to talk to her. If you join the conversation but decide you do not want to side with anyone, you will witness how Elodi deals with her oppressors and flees. Reward: 240 experience points Choice 3: Remain neutral You lose a potential ally - during the battle, Ifan ben-Mezd dies. If you help them defeat Elodi, you gain experience points for a victorious battle, but do not expect an additional reward or debt collectors' gratitude, for that matter.
Ifan ben-Mezd is a much more dangerous opponent - he can use powerful distance attacks, so deal with him first. The Elf is dangerous, however, she should not pose a significant threat to you - it is much more probable she will eliminate your "allies" if you do not act quickly. If you help the debt collectors, you will have to fight Elodi and also Ifan ben-Mezd. Reward: 2 guaranteed rewards and 4 to choose from depending on classes in your team + Severed Head Choice 2: Kill Elodi If you have an Elf in your team, you can use his Corpse Eater trait to improve his abilities. After you deplete the dialog options, she gives you the Severed Head. After you go there, you learn some interesting things about the location you are currently in. Moreover, she has a reward for you, which you can collect in the Caverns.
The debt collectors back off, and Elodi thanks you for your help. If you decide to help the Elf, you will avoid the bloodshed.
